Meet Information: (This meet is HS Sanctioned) TEAMS ENTERED  (20 team limit)

Facility:  The new Gordon Fieldhouse at R.I.T. has a 200m 6-lane polyurethane track with 8 lanes on the straightaway. 1/8” spikes are allowed. Bathrooms will be available. The concession stand will be open. Food and drink will not be permitted on the track level.

 

Location:  Rochester Institute of Technology is located off Jefferson Rd. (Rt. 252), southwest of Rochester, NY. RIT's main entrance is located off Jefferson Rd. (Rt. 252) between W. Henrietta Rd. (Rt. 15) and River Rd. Turn into campus from Jefferson Rd. at the light (indicated with a VERY large sign: "Rochester Institute of Technology, Founded 1829"). Please drop off teams at “D” Lot, next to the outdoor track. Team buses will be directed to a separate parking lot.

 

Entries:   We will use a two step entry process that will be “paper free.”

Step 1: E-mail your intent to participate to Dave Warth at djwatl@rit.edu

Include in your e-mail the school, coaches name, coaches e-mail, and team gender(s). Team's need to show intent to participate no later than Mon. Jan. 17th.

Step 2: You will be e-mailed an Excel spreadsheet to be filled out with individual and relay entries and then returned via e-mail to Dave Warth. This entry is due by 8 PM on Monday, January 31, 2005

 

No late entries will be accepted. Entry fees are due at registration on the meet day!

The entry fee is $100 for a combined team, $75 for a single gender team.

All checks payable to RIT. School vouchers are acceptable.

 

Entry Limits:          Maximum of 2 athletes per event per school. That's 2 boys and 2 girls. Each athlete is limited to a maximum of 2 individual events and one relay.

 

Timing:   We will be using a Lynx Fully Automatic Timing System (FAT).

 

Awards: Medals to 1st place, ribbons 2nd thru 5th in each event. Special awards to all finishers in the McMullen Memorial Races.

 

Time Schedule: A Meet Program will be available to all Coaches on the day of the meet.

An approximate time schedule and a listing of heats/sections/flights will be posted at www.rit.edu no later than 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2004.

 

Charlie McMullen Memorial Races

To honor the memory of one of the Greater Rochester Area's top runners, Spencerport High and Univ. of Missouri grad Charlie McMullen, RIT is pleased to inaugurate the “Charlie McMullen Memorial Races”.

 

There will be four divisions:

HS Girls 1500m - Open to 10-16 of the top HS girls entered in the meet.

HS Boys 1 mile- Open to 10-16 of the top HS boys entered in the meet.

Master Men 1500m - Open to 16-20 men over age 40.

Master Women 1500m - Open to 16-20 women over age 40.

 

We will award special prizes to all finishers in the McMullen Memorial Races.

High School entrants will be selected based on seed times submitted by their Coaches. Entry information for the Master runners can be found at www.gvh.net

Finals: All events will be finals - there will be no heats/trials and/or semi-finals.

Sections: Fast section will run first. Final placing will be based on time.

Shot Put: Bring your own implements. Each competitor will be given 4 throws.

High Jump: Starting height for Boys will be 4'6”. Starting height for Girls will be 3'6”.

Pole Vault: Starting height for Girls will be 7'0”. Starting height for Boys will be 8'0”.

Long Jump/Triple Jump: Each competitor will be given 4 jumps.
